Suffice it to say that both The Ghost Brigades (A Sci Fi Essential Book) and The Last Colony are excellent books, and necessary to understanding Zoe's Tale . Title: Zoe's Tale Author: John Scalzi Series: Old Man's War, book 4. Zoe's Tale is the retelling of the events of “The Last Colony” through the eyes of the daughter of the main protagonists in the earlier novel. There's only one followup book, Zoe's Tale, and all it does is retell the events of The Last Colony from the perspective of Zoe. Yes, I'm skipping the middle two books.
